Augie - November 30, 2011

Today we said a very sad farewell to Augie whose unconditional love we enjoyed for over 14 years. During the past year, and particularly during the past several months, old age rapidly diminished Augie’s quality of life. His hearing and sight were drastically reduced; he suffered from severe arthritis and dementia. We made the difficult decision to let him rest in peace. But we did so in celebration of his wonderful companionship over these many years.

We’ll always remember Augie the Doggie for his energy and passion for chasing squirrels, dancing for cheese, taking walks and riding in the car. We’ll even remember fondly his interaction with skunks!

Thank you, Augie, for all the fun and many terrific memories!

Who What When Where

Dennis, Jeff, Bob and Jim take a break from loading up the truck in Oceanside, NY in the 90+ July heat. Destination? McLean, Virginia!



Barb, Lexi and Carly show off their muscles (which will be sore the next day) after unloading the truck in the 100+ heat and humidity of Virginia in July.

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario,in July, where Barb and Jim made a quick trip to finalize some plans for the BIG EVENT! Jim is testing some wine in the tasting room at Stratus, while Barb is checking on the progress of the grapes.





September in McLean, where Jim got to spend time with the grandchildren and their parents.















And finally, a trip to Florida in September to see grandson Sami, Mel and Mo.









Coming up in October, EVERYONE will be gathering in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, for Carly and Tiffany's wedding.
